What is with the plant system? [Feedback on change needed]

I check and check and care for plants but they are all dead or going to be.
Is the system save for the plant system messed up?
A ton of pain in the butt work and months of time to get orange petals is wasted.
It’s not like you can just plant a seed and get them, it took a ton of growing and then proper cross breeding.

What do you mean? I haven't had any problem, except when they'd been ignored for a couple days.
And that's not too good for plants.

It's got to be somehow related to the items on ground having a 48 hour delay to decay or something then.
Cuz what else has changed?
Wonder if that's how so many of our others died...

And I swear that my AoA chance isn't resetting as quickly as it did before, think it was 2 days or more before that went back to a 1.0 modifier too.

The stage times have not changed, however the check rate has been changed to once an hour instead of every time the server reboots. So before lets say your plant was about to die the check would only happen at next server reboot, so you'd probably catch it on time, now it's every hour. Once you feed them at your normal time that you're online the cycle should be normal. I will be testing this further to ensure it's working properly.

its just beond anoying that Lizza lost so much of her time getting these plants to this final point and then they just turn to twigs.
I poped in several times for the past three days to have a chance of saving them, afternoon, latter in the day and also early morning.
I don't sleep much 2 to 4 hours a day is alot for me so I had the time to waste to try and save em.
But even trying the several times a day did no good.
Maybe next time give a warning that this might happen please.

Also maybe a warning message if the server is getting a reboot and people are on would be nice as well. I was down in the Juka's and the shard got a reboot for some reason and I came back to a nice black and white view of the world.
So just a little message like 'YO we are rebooting the shard get some where safe in the next 2 min"

When I checked on those plants and salvaged what was left of them they had not been watered and had not had any pots used on them. So I'm a little confused as to what you did with them and what you're upset about?
That was the state they were in yesterday afternoon, don't know when you checked on them or when they were last all alive.

You may have noticed that they all were watered and all had pots when you picked them all up? So they should have been left alone.

We lost about 50% of our most recent crop in Luna too, but I know that's cuz no one looked at them for maybe 3 days.

I was watching just the ones in her house she was going to call you and have you watch the ones in Luna.
I picked up all the ones that were not trashed at the house and locked them down in a secure container so they will not age any more on her and maybe she can save a few of them.
not upset about anything just had it is all kind of the last straw deal with me.

I almost lost a whole group of plants during the upgrade. I patched up just in time to save them. But now it seems much longer than 24 hours for them to move into the next stage.

Ok, now I KNOW there is something wrong with plants.
They haven't growth checked in 3, possibly 4 days.
The ones at our Luna house, have sat their with pots on them from when I last tended them for many days.

I don't mind if they miss some growth checks, though I wish they wouldn't.

But it seems like they may have also done multiple growth checks right away for some reason, hence the dead plants. And with weeks invested in crops sometimes, that really sucks.

Keep tending to them regardless what it says, just to be safe. I've been busy, but I will try to get this fixed by next patch. I have a few suspicions but I need to play around with it to test.

TC1 has been updated with a possible fix. When I was trying it my plants kept dying but maybe I was doing something wrong, not too familiar with plants tbh...

So please try on TC1 throughout the next few days and let me know if it works any better. I will ensure not to sync it with live data till it can be confirmed the issue is fixed. Plants can now update within any 10 minute period. To avoid lag spikes only 10 plants are done at a time, so it could be a while before all of them cycle through. The actual update period is 23 hours.

I haven't started a new crop yet to check but they did seem to be doing weird things, randomly skipping growth checks (though not like before, just for like a day) or randomly doing 2 growths in 24 hours.

Since whatever was changed about them from when they were really screwed up they at least seem perfectly manageable now.
I'll watch more closely when I start a new crop of them soon.
