His friend convinced him to put his jacket on backwards until they got home. So the rider put his jacket on so that the broken zipper was behind him. This seemed to work, so they continued home and also decided to take a shortcut through some small country roads.
The roads had many sharp curves and, since they were riding too fast, they eventually ran off the road and crashed into a corn field. A farmer, who witnessed the accident, quickly ran to administer first aid to the victims. Soon a car approached and the driver asked the farmer what happened. The farmer told him that the riders had just run off the road and that their injuries were very serious.
The driver asked the farmer if they were still breathing. The farmer says, “One was, but just until I was able to twist his head back in place."
