There's a war on terrorism?!

I keep hearing people talk about this war, that's to fight terrorism, but the only war I know about is the one in Iraq to get oil, can someone fill me in on the other war?

Well the war on terror has just been made "mainstream" by Bush after 9-11. Terrorism has been a big problem for a long time and Hollywood used it as a backdrop for blockbuster movies and nothing more until it finally hit home, no pun intended. Russia and Israel come to mind as the most effected by terror before it was a big deal in the american mindset and media. So yes there is a war on terror just like there is a war on drugs. There will always be people (until be evolve beyond violence) who prefer to use violence to scare people into agreeing with them and so we can never truly win a war on terror unless we evolve beyond it. That requires education of the uneducated and faith that over time and with enough pressure we can change the direction that we are headed to a more "survival friendly" direction.

I was just being sorcastic, figured people would catch on. That's the whole idea, the war on Iraq is to make people think it has to do with 9/11 but really it's not, the Afghanistan war was for 9/11 and I think Canada has more troops there then the US.

Bin Laden is in Afghanistan, not Iraq (well by now he might be somewhere else....)
